A museum quarter will be created in Tiraspol
In the capital of Pridnestrovie, from the Memorial of Glory to the stairs to the city beach, a large museum quarter will appear, which will become one public space for excursions, walks and interesting weekends.
The local history institution will unite and present the history of the Pridnestrovian land, from the most ancient times to the present day. The early, middle and late Middle Ages, the times of the Russian Empire, the Soviet period, the history of modern Pridnestrovie – all these are sectoral components of the projected museum quarter. A separate exposition will be dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. It will be tied to the pillbox that has been preserved in the central part of the city. Separate blocks will present the war of 1992 and the history of Tiraspol.
The quarter will be interactive, exhibits can be touched and photographed. The concept is being developed now. But it is already known for sure that there will be finds from ancient burial mounds, historical panoramas and military equipment.
The project is planned to be implemented in three years.
The new leisure area will continue the Ekaterininsky Park and smoothly move into the embankment, which will also be reconstructed.
The museum quarter will be included in the unified republican tourist route and will become a place of attraction for tourists.
