House of Culture “Shelkovik”
The House of Culture (now a cultural and leisure center) “Shelkovik” has been the center of cultural life of the district for the last more than 50 years. The building, built in 1967, is decorated with two mosaics depicting girls dancing in national costumes: three to the left of the central entrance and three to the right. Along the perimeter, the building is decorated with a mosaic frieze of alternating floral patterns.
This is the case when the main purpose of creating mosaics was to give the typical building, which quite a few were built on the territory of Soviet Moldova, its own face.
