86 P.A. Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky st. Stroentsy village, Rybnitsa district
The village of Stroentsy is the birthplace of the great Russian commander - Peter Alexandrovich Rumyantsev. His mother, Countess MA Rumyantseva, lived in this village for about six months, awaiting the return of her husband, who traveled to Turkey on behalf of Peter I. Here she gave birth to her son, Peter Alexandrovich, on January 15, 1725. A part of the museum's exposition is devoted to his life path. The museum displays photographs, photocopies of documents on the military activities of P.A.Rumyantsev, as well as a bust of the field marshal.
Another part of the materials is dedicated to Field Marshal P. X. Wittgenstein, whose estate was the village of Stroentsy in the 19th century. On a picturesque rocky ledge in the village there is the "Tower of the Winds" - a monument to the commander, erected by his daughter.
In the museum, which is located in the building of the rural House of Culture, you can learn the history of the founding and development of the village, see old household items, tools.
