Holy Presentation Pachomius Convent
Construction of the Holy Presentation Pachomius convent in the Kirov Park began in 2003. One day this place was a cathedral cemetery where soldiers of the stationed in Tiraspol 8th Astrakhan Dragoon Regiment and the 56th Zhitomir Infantry Regiments were buried, as well as parishioners of Nikolsky Cathedral. While laying the convent, the remains were reburied, and later search work was organized to establish their identities.
By 2012, the gate with belfry was built, and a few years later the construction of the main temple was completed. It contains many unique shrines, including the icon of the Resurrection, brought from Mount Athos. Together with other holy pictures and dome crosses it was consecrated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia during his visit to Pridnestrovie in 2013.
